A Double Fruitful Nation
What nation in this age has been the most fruitful in getting the gospel out more than any other country, since the time of it’s inception. What nation has fought more wars on the physical and spiritual level, in projecting the gospel message and protecting the areas where it was penned, than any other nation? That has helped fight off every Beast War attack since the founding of its nation, within and out of its boarders. What nation has spent more time and resources in relief for those in need, in or abroad, and more on fighting the Communist Darwin-Marxist’s ideology(faith) and islamic ideology(faith), protecting a right that has been built into to its governing foundation, to have a fundamental right to worship freely, and with dignity? What does Biblical Scripture have to say about this watchman.
The scripture reference above talks about two different houses, House of Judah and the House of Joseph. Two separate houses of the children of Israel or Jacob. He called one stick Ephraim for his companions(other tribes) and the other Judah for the whole house of Israel to be joined as one House. The House of David.
What was Ephraim’s part in the this household?
Who did this Double Fruitful Tribe become?
What nation in our age has taken a role in holding the freedoms in this world in balance.
Now look at Satans strategy on the levels of the before mentioned ideologies and how he is trying to fight back with in its boarders, the freedoms of this nation’s influence today.
Look at today, in Britain, how fundamental freedoms are being taken away. In some parts even giving way to Sharia Law, and governing no rights of free speech, per-say.
Now lets start break the spiritual bread of Scripture.
1. At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.
Addressing all 13 tribes.
2. Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.
This time was following the Babylonian exile of Judaea, this was the House of Judah; with Benjamin and Levi. Jeremiah being from the Tribe of Benjamin. Prior to this, the exile of Israel the 10 tribes went into exile in Assyria with no promise of return, unlike Judaea, many of the remnants of Israel migrated, some of those who found grace in all of the twelve tribes being brought together. Some tribes from the second exile caught up with the other tribes from the first. They will be united one way or another in the wilderness. These tribes have been recorded as migrating west between The Black Sea and Caspian Sea. As far west as what’s know to day as England, Ireland, Scotland and colonies. They became the Irish Celts and other communities in the areas. There is record evidence that shows Jeremiah the Prophet was buried in Ireland, and the two daughters of King Zedekiah daughters migrating with Jeremiah. The Lord commission’s the prophet to protect the line of David, through the seed of a woman and not necessarily from the seed of a man. Since King Zedekiah’s sons were killed with no heirs to the House of David.
Keep in mind that Jesus’s linage with King David was along a different rout with both Mary and Joseph. Jesus’s linage came from Mary and not Joseph. Matthew covers Joseph’s linage back to David, So Luke does Mary’s lineage back to Adam. However you look at it, linage is covered.
In understanding King David’s linage surviving today was through Zedekiah’s two daughters and who they were married to. Judas linage was covered by Perez This is recorded that both daughters were married. King Zedekiah daughter Tea Tephi became a Queen of Ireland and his daughter Scota the progenitor of Scotland. We will learn more about this in another study.
3. The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
They have been drawn together by His lovingkindness.
4. Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
5. Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
Summery: Those who spared from the sword has found grace with God, He will bring them back to the life they once knew. She will be known as a untouched bride, betrothed to their Lord. They shall bring produce from the Mounts of Samaria, once was the Capital of Israel’s lost 10 tribes.
During the time of Christ; there was a instance with the woman of the well, a Samaritan woman that our Lord had a certain conversation with. The woman knew the relationship they had between the north and the south. Such as we have known in our history, our civil war in the US. They did’t associate. Jesus did. And what about the parable of Good Samaritan. Another point that Jesus was making, looking beyond the history and seeing that which He has planted from the beginning.
6. For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.
The watchman – known as strength or protector, this has been referenced in other passages concerning the Tribe of Ephraim.
Mount Ephraim – Tribe of Ephraim’s settlement. the northern tribe.
Arise ye – literally arise from your slumber.
7. For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save — thy people, — the remnant of Israel.
The redemption plan of this lost nation has been set forth.
8. Behold, I will bring — them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
9. They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim — is my firstborn.
10. Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say,
Faraway places being islands of the west.
11. He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
For the LORD hath redeemed — Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.
The Lord keeps His promise to Jacob.
The encyclopedia Brittanica has this to say about the Tribe of Ephraim:
This is pretty much the rundown of the Tribe of Ephraim’s history. They were the war tribe or chief protector tribe starting with Joshua, to Ahab and ending with Hoshea. What a fall from grace for the Nation.
The Ephraim tribe settlement was on the Mountain’s to the north of Judah, to the north of Jerusalem. Known as the Northern Tribe. They were really known as a 13th tribe. Since Jacob added his Joseph’s two sons as his own sons.
I have covered some of Jeremiah 30 in “The Woman in the Wilderness” Post. Read it all.
We have gone into why Rachael was weeping for her Children. This wan’t prior the troubles just before Christ’s birth, This was the troubles before the new nation of Israel became a nation in 1948, sign of Jacob’s Troubles.
Now we will go into a little more about how how the one Nation of Judaea became two Nations.
Battle of the Boam’s
The Tribe of Ephraim was located on the mountains north of Jerusalem. I believe this was a strategic location for the Chief Tribe, as they are the war tribe. The most powerful of the tribes. They were responsible for the breaking away from Judaea during a near civil war that God averted through a man of God, Shemaiah a prophet, now the south nation being Solomon’s son Rehoboam king of Judah, Israel being the northern nation ruled by the newly established King Jeroboam of the tribe of Ephraim. After the split, Jeroboam didn’t feel safe going into Rehoboam’s ruled areas for his people to worship, he rebelled against his God and and made two calf’s of gold, placed one in Bethel and the other was placed in Dan. Hence the Northern Nation’s downfall from God’s grace. It’s kinda ironic that the nations were split because of heavy taxation from King Solomon and his son Rehomoam. The son took counsel from the elders on how to handle this matter. He refused their counsel and took the counsel from the brats he grew up with. Because of Solomon’s idolatry and rebellion the Lord spoke through a prophet that this split would happen.
Think of the similarities of the civil split that took place in Judaea and USA, both was from unfair taxation and personal freedoms. Also think of our civil divide between the north and the south on ideologies.
Read 1 Kings chapter 12 for the whole story.
Ephraim’s role in Judah
Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
Ephraim taking the leadership as a protector of God’s interests. Judah being the lawgiver. More later.
Scattering the Northern Nation
A warning and a promise from the Lord
Nehemiah 1:8, 9;
8. Remember, I beseech thee, — the word that thou commandedst — thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:
This was the Lord’s warning to Moses to give to the people Israel if they take up their old habits, as coming from Egypt.
9. But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do — them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set — my name there.
However, the Lord will return them from where they were cast out. He made this promise before they became a Nation by reclaiming the land that was given to Jacob.
Promise made, promise kept. A God of His word, kept His end of the deal.
Following scripture summaries are paraphrased.
Isa 63:1 – 6;
Northern Nation of Israel garments were stained with their own blood. There was none that stood for their God, he set out his anger and treaded them with war, and their blood even touch His garments. The Lord sets out with His anger on those whom he redeemed. And His kingly garments was stain with their blood as they would be in a wine vat. They will be made drunk with their own blood.
Verse 7 – 14;
The Lord remembers His time in the wilderness with the people of Israel, He remembers his strong arm extended through his servant Moses to provide and protect His people. God had high hopes that His people would embrace Him.
Verse 15 – 19;
The Lord looks down from heaven, and talks about how they lost their zeal and strength, the sounding of their insides of their womb, are they holding back from him. They have forgotten their roots. They ask the Lord to return for their fathers and the Lords servants sake. We are yours, Don’t leave our land and to rule those who are not called by your name.
From this point on, the tribes were scattered.
In reading the book of Hosea the prophet, he story lines his life parallels his with the way God’s rocky relationship with His his unfaithful bride, the people of Israel. Hosea took a prostitue to be his wife, symbolized God’s troubles with His bride’s unfaithfulness. Hosea left his wife, God’s leaving His bride to be taken away into the wilderness. And Hosea take back his unfaithful wife. God returns Israel to it inheritance.
In his writings he never mentioned a call to repentance, only Judgement and a promise of their return. He wrote the book just before the siege of the capital. He also writes about God taking his disobedient bride back.
He parallels his life to the likeness of his prophetic message.
There were two asyrian rulers involed in deporting the northern tribe, the later ruler more so.
The Lord shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah, even the king of Assyria.
2 Kings 15:29
In the days of Pekah, king of Israel, came Tiglath-Pileser, king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.
Some important Dates to remember:
I pulled this up from several sources found on the internet.
By 734 B.C., Tiglath-Pileser had conquered much of the countries between Mesopotamia and the Mediterranean Sea.
In 724 BC, nearly ten years after the initial deportations, the capital city of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, Samaria, was finally taken by Sargon II. The Assyrians, fearing more revolts, began major population relocations during the reign of King Sargon II.
In 722 B.C. Samaria fell. The fall of Israel’s Capital City. Even though King Hoshea quickly surrendered rather than face the Assyrian onslaught, Shalmaneser continued forward until the fall of Israel’s Capital.
28. He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
29. They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
30. Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
31. Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.
32. As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
The Assyrian king did have his sights set on Judah and Jerusalem, however King Hezekiah at the time was taking counsel with Isaiah and did right in the sight of God. As the army was approaching Judah to over take it. Because of the king of Judah faith in the Lord, God sent and angel to kill about 185 thousand of the Assyrian soldiers.
This stopped the movement from going forward. And Judah and Jerusalem was left for another time and another foreign king.
Which Way Did They Go?
During the Assyrian King Sargon II reign, the remnant that remained in Israel was relocated. The king didn’t want any uprisings from the people and he handed the land over to foreigners to occupy the area that were trusted by him. This was the major relocation effort which is important prophetic time point for what is going to be pointed out later.
This king carried off the northern nation of Israel and relocated them in parts through out the kingdoms of his influence.
There has been much speculation and writing on this subject, and a lot of assumptions have been made about the lost tribes of Israel. Many say that the tribes left to make great nations in our world today. That maybe so.
Dispersed amoung the gentile nations.
Hosea 1:10-11; This was prophesied after the fall and is a promise of the Lord to the people of Israel and Judah.
Trough out the entire book of Hosea there was no call to repentance. Just judgement going forward and a promise of redemption.
10. Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
11. Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
They will be as the sands of the sea?
Where is the mass multitude coming from?
Jezreel – This has been where a few game changing events in the nation’s history took place. The history began in Jezreel as a turning point of for Joshua’s of the tribe of Ephraim victory over the canaanites, and it will be the turning point in Israel’s demise. Read Hosea chapter one.
Jezreel was not only a strategic place for the military, It was also a place that the royal snow birds came to during harsh winters of Samaria. A place that crops can be produced in all season.
Vs 8.Behold, I will bring — them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
Vs 9. They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim — is my firstborn.
Vs 10. Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
How were they planted?
So, How would God his sow the seeds of his nations, the seeds through out the world to support the nation of His Israel. Is He going to throw a hand full here a hand full there? In the ancient times, how did they sow their seeds, they would cusp the seeds in their hand and scatter them through a controlled opening in their hand, as they moved their hand from the west to the east, or from the right to the left, allowing a even dispersement the seeds to fall to the ground.
Hosea 2:19 – 23
19. And I will betroth thee unto me forever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
20. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know — the LORD.
21. And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear — the heavens, and they shall hear — the earth;
22. And the earth shall hear — the corn, and — the wine, and — the oil; and they shall hear — Jezreel.
23. And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon — her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
Betrothed – A promised wife.
The whole earth – Not just one continent but all.
He will sow the corn, and — the wine, and — the oil; and they shall hear — Jezree.
These are all products of harvest crops. Corn is actually grains, wine from grapes, oil from olives.
For, lo, I will command, and I will sift — the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
The Lord is going to sift or separate the good from the bad. The sinners shall shall blow away by the sword while the grain remains. These seeds will be held back for the crop of the sower.
Amos 9:13 – 15;
13. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
14. And I will bring again — the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink — the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat — the fruit of them.
15. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
To whom is the Lord speaking of? The Lost 10 Tribes.
The Lord has been sowing the seed of Israel to the whole earth. Not just a continent but all continents. From the west of Israel they come, from the seas they will return. From the east they will return.
Ask ourselves, what is to the west of Israel? The Mediterranean Sea. There is not much landmass to the west between Israel and the sea. They are coming from somewhere.

Where, oh, where have you been my love?
Where, oh, where can you be?
It’s been so long, since the moon has gone.
and oh what a wreck you’ve made me
Are you there, over the ocean?
Are you there, up in the sky?
Until the return of my love
My Hope is on the horizon
Every face, it’s your eyes I can see
I plead, I pray through each night and day
Our embrace is only a dream.
And as sure as days come from moments
Each hour becomes a life’s time
When she’d left, I’d only begun this lullaby
This song came my mind.
I can hear the Lord singing out through time for his lost love to return.
Where ever the lost tribes be, they will be the sands of the sea.
A judgement and a plan.
Romans 9:26, 27;
26. And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
27. Isaiah also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
They will not be recognized as isrealites but the sons of the Living God.
Rom 11:25, 26;
25. For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.
26. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Paul, being the Apostle to the gentiles knew the very important part the the Gentiles would play in Israels salvation.
We are not trying to make the Jews believe what we believe for their salvation, What we believe brings salvation to the Jews. Our salvation is not through the law but through Jesus.
So did the Lord bring the Jews return to the Holy Land in 1948? After the resurrection by the way. Did the Lord bring the People of Israel home to just become Christians and know Jesus? God fulfill a promise that the two nations will return and become one. One being the Law Giver and scepter of the House of Judah and the other His Fruitfulness(Ephraim) as the sands of the sea.
In order for Israel to be saved all gentiles needed to be redeemed not the other way around. Israel shall be saved when the redeemer of the gentiles come’s arrives through our faith.
Acts 16:31 – And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Can my faith in Jesus Christ save my house, family? Does the roof that covers my faith also cover all those who are in it? The House of Israel, and the House of Judah.
When we read the above passage it states, “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved and thy house”, and not, “believe and thy house in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved”.
Hosea 11:8 – 10
Vs 8. How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
Vs 9. I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
Admah and Zeboiim were the little towns outside of Sodom and Gomorroh, which were burned up with the larger cities when the sulfury fire of God fell from heaven in judgment on them.
God is talking to the Northern Nations in addressing Ephraim.
Vs 10. They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
They shall walk after the Lord, Ephraim will roar like a lion, then the children will tremble from the west.
To tremble: or to shutter or wake up abruptly, become alert. A trumpet sounding for an alarm or an announcement.
Coming from the west. This is a geographic location.
Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
Ephraim mixed himself with the other cultures and nations taking on their way’s and practices, allowing foreigners to come in and mingling them selves in with their way’s. Basically the Lord becoming the unknown God. Idolatry.
We see this in our nation today. Foreigners coming in and trying to make their laws and beliefs as the law of the land and their practices among the peoples of this nation as a practice for all including the natural born citizens. They want to take freedom and replacing it with Communism and Islam Sharia Law being among some. These are antichrist beasts. If they can’t take this nation by war, they can by subtle infiltration. This has been in process for decades. Under the guise of progression and asylum immigration.
Have we ever heard of the saying or idiom, “a plan being half baked”? Maybe the Ephriam plan was to carry on at a later time. I see a pan cake that is ready to be turned but something interrupted the process. It may have gotten charred on one side. I see a nation that was cut off from God’s plan because of unfaithfulness, got burned. Scripture follows, God may have abandoned one plan, but redeemed it at a later time with a new plan.
Some may see this passage a bit more differently. As it’s over for Ephraim, and God is going to start over with something new. I do not. God isn’t going to throw out the half baked bread and start over. He will try to redeem the cake. The Lord had a plan for Ephraim all a long and He’s not going to throw the dough out. He is going to complete the other side. God sees it that way as well.
Ephraim’s history is only half over, the rest his history is yet to come.
Verse 9-17 the other side of Ephraim’s cake..
Hosea 9:13; taken from the Young’s translation
Ephraim! when I have looked to the rock(as a rock), Is planted in comeliness(meadow), And Ephraim [is] to bring out unto a slayer his sons.
I use The Young’s Littoral Translation because it truer to the original. Some translates rock as Tyrus or palm.
Should read – “I see Ephraim like rock that is planted in a pleasant place, but he shall bring forth his children to the murderer.”
The context of this passage is very grave. It talks about the children of Ephraim will be handed over to the murderer. It seems that they will be uprooted from the land and handed over to another. They shall be wonderers among the nations. Much of this verse is figurative. They will carry out this curse for themselves in one form or another.
Ephraim, God’s Spiritual Firstborn
In this study we have learned that;
Ephraim was the chief warning tribe, with great influence among the Tribes.
Ephraim will become a multitude of nations.
Ephraim absorbed into the gentile world, Did the Lord hide them from sight?
With Ephraim tribesconquered and drove out the foreigners that took possession of the land that was promised to the people of Israel. With the same tribe of Ephraim caused the people of Israel that were driven out of the promised land, return home.
Jeremiah 31:6 6. For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.
The return started with the Ephraim’s cry from the mount of Ephraim, to the nations of Israel, to go up to Zion unto the Lord your God.
The Lord show’s companion on Ephraim. He remembers His Promise to Jacob.
