The Father of Heaven Sevens – II

The 7th Week

Shavuim Shavua

The seven year tribulation?

Opening Statement:

Are we yet to go through a 7 year tribulation, are we going through it right now or has it already happened?

Two of the answers are correct the other one is dead wrong. If we have decernment of what is going on in the world and it’s, especially in the middle east and Israel and even here in the West and the free world we will come to the conclusion that it’s already been happening. Is this something new? Is persecution new to God’s People?

Look at the events in history about the Coptic Christians, the Armenians and Jews being massacred by the millions either by one of the Ottomans and Islamic Jihad Crusade raids, or Hitlers purification holy war. The Jews were thrown in to the mix of the so called Holy Roman sanctions of slaughter. They got Jerusalem back but at what price. Only to loose it again.

The tribulation of the church started with Steven?

We can start with the first martyr of the Church after Christ’s crusifiction, Steven was proclaiming the good news and he was stoned for it, he also was confronting the Pharisees for their hypocracy. Did they think that was going to stop the gospel message? Well those who were playing the judge and jury and passed sentance on stoning Steven? Even those the Jews who disbelieved in the gospel message, are going to be persecuted as well. Christians and Jews has a symbiotic relationship when it comes to persecution. What affects the Christians affects Jewish people as well. We have seen this through out history. The crusades was a prime example of persecution as well. Romantically they were driving back the Muslims occupation of the Holy Land, however the Jews got it as worse than the Muslims if not more. To a point the Muslims were harboring Jews against persecution.

When I first became familiar with this tribulation narrative as some far off event that is yet to take place, that will spare the church through a hardship. However I started to notice this has been well under way for some time. Today in our beloved free world we’ve experianced churches being burned, crosses being removed or burned, statues of Jesus being toppled, believers being slaughtered. I never thought that this would ever come this close to home. Radicals trying to erase faith and history and trying to make history what it’s not. This is not anything new. The Communist & Islamic controled countries started this form of jihad wether it’s a form of an atheist religion or a Islamic religion. This has not changed since the begining of the Gospel message. We are not under anything unique in this age.

So can we now question the 7 year tribulation narrative of the end times? Go ahead, God wont mind.

In my previous blog of the 69 weeks in the book of Daniel we were working with a timeline that was intended for Judaea and the city of Jerusalem and not necessarily the church per-say, up unto the cross. However it seems that what affects the one will affect the other.

This timeline going forward is different from the 69 weeks and this will become clear in the going forward in this study.

Let’s do a break down the remainder final 7th Week part of this passage:

There are several points listed with explanations. Make note that these are my own personal commentaries. This is how I understand this passage. Broken up into points.

Daniel 9:26-27

Verse 26;

1. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:

The 62 weeks and including the 7 week rebuilding of Jerusalem to the Messiah. The Messiah will be taken away not for His own benefit. The Messiah came to redeem the world and not himself. And will be taken from the earth realm into the Heavenly’s.

2. And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;

Another and different prince will arise to destroy Jerusalem, was Titus this prince around 90AD? Or was this prince of a another ungodly Daniel beast kingdom to carry out this act. The Islamic Jihad has done this just this as well. As Christ was the prince for a heavenly kingdom this other prince was of a kingdom of a different kind. I believe that this prince was yet to come or took another face of an old one. Even though Titus sacked Jerusalem and made rubble of the temple. This passage talks about a defiler yet to come that makes war on the people.

3. and the end thereof shall be with a flood,

This is a flood of people or foreigners that speak a different language, a gentile nation.

Revelations 17:15 – And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

The whore has already arrive and alive and well this day. She take everyone who she can seduce into her fornications. This whore occupies the regions that surrounds Jerusalem.

4. And unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Some claim that this references is a war yet to come some time in our future, however taking Jesus’s reference to the passage in Daniel and taking His full message in context, this is a ongoing war with this prince. This prince is the entity that is given power from the beast mentioned in Daniel and Revelations, this is the false christ and prophet. The literal translation for determined wether this is figurative or not, is to wound by making a sacrifice unacceptable to the Lord. The context of this is talking about a war event that leaves the temple mound ruined by wounding, making it unacceptable for sacrifices.

Verse 27;

5. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:

This prince will will make a covenant with these many (vs 26 the flood of people)

A covenant ratifying a promise or agreement with these many for this one week period. We are talking about the same week referencing this remaining week (sabua or shavua, the masculine noun of seven) of the 70 weeks . At this point the final remaining part of the timeline from the Messiah being cut off. This should read, “during the week”. As part of the Daniel timeline.

6. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

Around the middle of this week something will cause the sacrifices and offerings to cease.

7. And for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate,

On the parameter or a wing or extension of a abomination will make it desolate or unusable

8. Even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Until the completion of a covenant, and that which is purposed will be poured out on that which makes it unusable.

The Prince Messiah vs the prince? This is the question. Could this prince be a father of a false faith, one of the horns of the beasts referred to in previous scriptures. Could there have been a false prophet to present this false faith.

Now lets get started on the 7th final week.

In understanding what’s in a day and how many of them there are in a year. we have to understand what’s in a week, a sabbath week. and how this relates to the weeks in Daniel’s timeline. One day equals a prophetic 360 days in a year. These sabbaths seasons are addressed in Leviticus.

When using the hebrew word for 7 (sabua or shavua) to it self it represents a 7th day, when this word is used with hebrew shavuim which literally means sevens, plural masculine it is used as a multiples of seven that lead up to a Jubilee year. we are talking a multiple of sabbath years.

Leviticus 25:1-11

And the Lord spake unto Moses on Mt Sinai saying, Speak unto the Children of Israel and say unto them, “When ye come into the land which I will give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.

Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; but in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest onto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, or prune thy vineyard. That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land. And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,”

v7, “And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.

And thou shalt”, thou shalt, “number seven sabbaths of years”.

Seven sabbaths of years. This is where the numerical increments of sevens comes in.

“And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.”

We have – “seven sabbaths of years unto the people, seven times seven years; and the space of the seventh Sabbath of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years”.

Then we come to another very important identification of what the numerical progression of the Levitical Code in its completion means.

v9: “Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the Day of Atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof; it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man untohis possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family. A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you:”

The Levitical codes of Sabbath Seasons

Correlating Daniel 9:24-27 to Leviticus 25:1-11:

In leviticus it sets forth the one Shavuim week of the weeks of multiple of years, one year of rest for the land after a 6 years period.

This is the 7 years of sabbaths seasons to the land and the Lord.

Vs 8 – thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years;

the 7 times 7 years

One unique sabbath year of rest for the land and beasts and the Lord a jubilee year of rest and returning of the laborers, maids, servants, slaves, return to their families and lands returned to its owners. this makes up 360 sabbath days for this jubilee.

The one final week in Daniel 9

Leviticus & Daniel Comp Chart

Breaking the bread of Scripture:

First I would like to mention that Daniel was a Jew who knew Jewish customs and laws and levitical code. He also knew about this breakdown, but didn’t fully understand the events about to take place.

The seventh week requires a different multiplier then the 69 weeks, previously studied.

This final week uses a different conversion by using a different multiplier(s) from the 69 weeks, the Jubilee week has 360 sabbath days. 360 is the multiplier for the 70th week.

So in taking the prophetic years 360 by 7 multiplier comes to 2520 years.

We will take the 2520 prophetic years by .9857 solar year conversion will come to a rounded 2484 years.

We will take Cyrus Decree of 536bc which originally started the temple reconstruction and has to do with the temple and a different prophetic timeline following the progressions of the Sabbath years.

We add the 2484 solar years to the starting point of the decree of Cyrus 536bc we come to 1948AD.

Does this Date appear to be familiar? It should, this is the year that the Holy Land was returned to it’s people as a New Nation of Israel.

This was a sabbath jubilee year where all property returns to its original owner and even the slaves, servants, hired hands returns to their families. Keep in mind this was the Jewish peoples lot in history all the way back to Babylonian exile.

Now where does Daniel 9:27 come into the picture?

and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease?

Keep in mind that this use of midst is somewhere around the middle of the timeline.

Now take the 2484 years and half it we come to 706AD.

Not everyone will know this part of the timeline unless they knew the history of the Temple Mount.

What lead up to 706bc? When we talk about the abominations of desolations that defiles the temple mound and brings the offerings and sacrifices to a halt. What could it be?

We need to ask ourselves, what sits on the temple mound today. Every one will say, “the dome of the rock”. That is correct but the dome of the rock is part of a different timeline. We will go over that later. What else sits to the borders of the Temple Mount?

v27 – for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate.

The plural of abominations should be a clue.

There is something else sitting on the mount.

The overspreading, off to the side of, or the wing of (literal translation), or the boarder of, depending on what translation we use. We will find this standing structure on the wing of the temple mound is what is called al-Aqsa Mosque. It’s completion was 706AD.

Some will argue the year however I have references that make it 706AD, give or take a year. By the way, “midst” does mean somewhere around the middle.

Now we have the abominations of desolation reference mentioned in Daniel 9:27.

Let me take you to another parallel passage about this event:

The Great Tribulation (Mark 13:14-28; Luke 21:20-24)

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:

Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

— Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Mark 13:14-28

Now in breaking down this passage in Matthew, we will find:

V14 – abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,

V19 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The was going to be a great tribulation event that will happen that will take place in Jerusalem, there will be none like it from that point on. The aforementioned event will take place, and there is going be no other event in Jerusalem like afterwards. We will now understand that what ever Jerusalem may go through in this age will not compare to what will happen in the before mentioned age.

V21&22 – Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

In verse 22 states that Christs and prophets plural, however this is singular. There for shall arise a false christ and false prophet.

V24-27 – But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Vs 24 – after that tribulation – we see in the king James that the return of Christ was to return in the clouds with is angels or messengers to gather his elect. After, did he say? The correct language should actually state in the midst. We will see the following signs prior to his return.

These are in Jesus’s own words.

Interesting Thought on Mark 13:24&25

As for the events in the sky, this talks about God’s Solar time piece in the figurative, the sun, the moon and the stars. Which I can see an alternative meaning as time winding down or lessen as the time of these events comes to a close. Both Matthew & Mark describes a larger and smaller body in the sky will lessen in their brilliance, and the lesser lights will fall to the earth, that being the stars, figuratively this has referenced Satan’s messengers or angels falling to the earth in defeat, as referenced in other parts of scripture.

I think Jesus is telling us to look towards the heavens for signs in the figurative and not the literal. He does mention the Heavenly’s as kingdom realm shall shake, all this to understand what coming next that leads up to his return.

In Luke describes just signs in all the greater and lesser heavenly bodies, what all passages have in common is that the powers in heaven shall shake, this is the same greek word dúnamis and is referenced as the same power that Jesus came with and the church possessed in the early church, and he will return with the same power.

Satan also possessed and empowered the people of his influence in other references.

Two of the books call out his glory, which translates, the forefront of our thoughts. Luke used fear of events that will cause hearts to weaken and fail. No matter how we look at it, we will know what’s taking place by the signs of the heavens as a principality. Of darkness and light.

Now that we understand the abomination of desolation standing in part of the holy place.

We now understand that the Great Tribulation isn’t somewhere in the future but we have been experiencing it even up to this day. However there will be no greater that the event we will talk about in the next post study.

He warns us not to pay any mind at every claimed coming of his return. This sounds true even in our most recent history. He gave certain signs of His coming. He also reference a false christ and prophet, and not to be deceived by him, all in the same context of this message. By the way in the original text this is singular christ and singular prophet, and not the plural.

In verse 29 states that after this tribulation, then we are to look for the mentioned signs of His return. Then it goes into the parables that associates the signs of the previous passage. For those of the pre-tribbers persuasion this doesn’t stand up to what Jesus was saying. The signs of his return will be in the midst or after the tribulation.

I always had a question mark “?” concerning the pre or post teaching until I read this more closely, you can also look at it as the mid-trib. Somehow it didn’t feel morally correct to let His church go through the hardships of persecution if there was going to be a tribulation to come in the future, however with this light shined on scripture, we have been going through it for some time. When the word talks about the beast, this is only for the region in which the prophecy’s were written and making reference to, Jerusalem. Even though this is felt worldwide. I believe the Lord of Heaven has kept His JerUSAlem in the palm of his hand, if this wasn’t so, we would be in a much worse place.

Now is this abomination standing in the holy place a man, beast or a thing? Some will make reference to this as the Antichrist standing in the holy of holies claiming to be Christ. I call the Dome of the Rock a shrine to the antichrist spirit. I will have more to say on this later.

Closing Statement:

In the context of Jesus’s reference to Daniel’s passage he talks about the tribulation to come, he also was making reference in the same passage that a false christ and prophet that will come, and a war. I view this as the other prince that will defile the temple mound and make war to claim Jerusalem for this false christ or prophet in the name of a false god and religion. By the way, this false prophet has already made the so claimed appearance on the temple mound in previous history and produced some claimed miracles. Who can this be? We can find this false prophet in many references in history on the internet. He’s healed the sick, caused food to multiply, split the moon in half, claimed he descended and re-ascended on the Temple Mount and Mecca. This is why this beast prince has it’s sights on this holy temple mound and Mecca, entering and exiting from the site in a supposed miraculous claim. He left Mecca to go to Jerusalem and returned in a unrealistic amount of time. Sounds like the prince of darkness counterfeit’s our Christ.

This false christ makes blasphemies against the one True Christ, and the Holy Spirit stating that Jesus is not the Son of God and the Holy Spirit isn’t real. This is scribed on one of the standing abomination of desolation on the Temple Mount.

I will be getting into this on my next post.

The ceasing of offerings and sacrifices in Jerusalem AD.
